SNYOPSIS

In 1939, the world stood on the brink of war. An enigmatic Canadian businessman, William Stephenson, embarked on a mission that would change history. His adversaries were formidable: Adolf Hitler and Charles Lindbergh, America’s hero. Eighty years before “fake news” became controversial, Stephenson had mastered it with great success.

With commentary by historians Timothy Naftali, Nicolas J. Cull, Kristy Ironside and Nicholas E. Reynolds, the story of Stephenson’s clandestine endeavors and his profound impact on history is given a modern-day perspective. Naftali is one of only a few historians to have access to top-secret files of the WW2 operation.
